Birmingham - Intensive Interview Preparation Crash Course

Course Details

The course will be run by a group of 3-4 medical and dental students who are all experienced with the preparing students for the medical school application process.  You’ll be taught by students who have been through the application process recently, successfully received offers, and are currently studying at university. Individually we have each helped students with their personal statements, UKCAT and interviewing technique with the vast majority of our students successfully receiving offers. There is a skill and technique to applying to medical school that through our combined knowledge, we would like to impart on you.

The course will have a maximum of 15 applicants and will start around 8-9am (to be announced once venue has been confirmed) and finish for 5pm with a one hour lunch break and two 15 minute breaks in between.

The course will take place in the form of a presentation. We will go through the sections as shown below, with each section including multiple interactive elements including volunteering to practice in prepared scenarios with feedback from your peers,  practicing with one another under our observation, questions and smaller group work.

We know how first hand as students how useless a lecture based format is and will minimise as much as possible the amount of time spent just spouting information at you! The aim is to get you as involved and practicing as much as possible in order to be as prepared as you can for the big day(s).

The course outline is covered below. Please note that the course may not follow this particular order.
